Description: According to Dr. Shaywitz and Yale University, students with dyslexia find learning a new language just as, if not more, difficult than their primary language. Therefore, another option for a new language development is American Sign Language, which does not require spoken language.
About us: PACE Academy, opening fall 2021, is a FREE public charter school that specializes in meeting the unique instructional needs of students with dyslexia and other reading struggles.
About the role: PACE is looking for a contract worker to teach American Sign Language to Middle School Students 1 hour a day, four days a week. The person in this role will be a certified ASL instructor.
