Ginger Chestnut
Reading Specialist / Coach

Ginger Chestnut is a wife, mother, and teacher who holds a South Carolina Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. She completed her undergraduate work at Francis Marion University and received her Master’s degree from The University of South Carolina. Ginger’s professional life was radically changed when she completed the Associate Level Coursework for Orton-Gillingham. The growth and progress she saw in her students when she began using the OG approach in tutoring and in her classroom ignited a passion for teaching struggling readers and providing them the tools necessary to unlock the code of the English language. She now serves as the reading coach at PACE where she assists our teachers in learning and applying Structured Literacy in the classroom. She loves being able to see students succeed and enjoys celebrating with teachers when they share their stories of success in the classroom.

When Mrs. Chestnut is not working with students and coaching teachers, she enjoys spending time with her family and church family. She and her husband enjoy visiting their married children and getting together with family and friends to play games. She also enjoys spending time with her three fur-babies. Mrs. Chestnut likes to read, write Bible studies, and complete word or number puzzles. Recently she conquered her fear of flying and flew overseas to visit missionary friends.
