Apollo was adopted from Buffalo Bug and Small Breed Rescue on 9/16/2019. His momma, Hickory, didn’t know she was gonna give birth to 7 puppers on 7/18/2019. Apollo was one of those babies.
Apollo has been lucky to be Buffalo’s Rescued Hero Dog in 2019, he has also been up for the semi finals for the Service Dog of the year 2 times in a row thru the American Human Society (hope this year he makes it to the finals). He also has made it to the finals of FureverUSA’s dog of the year. And was SC’s pageant dog last spring.
He recently won the Dog We are Thankful For thru the American Kennel Club. He is also a featured extra in a film called The Evolution of Nate Gibson (which is in post production).
Apollo also loves to share his love of having kids read to him through a program called People Animals Love (PAL). It is an organization that does zoom (and face to face) meeting with kids across the world that are lucky enough to read their favorite books to dogs.
Apollo also has 7 books he has worked with through Yappy in England. He also has his own personal photographer in Buffalo NY (https://www.troydphotography.net).
This fall Apollo was featured on ABC Columbia to represent Service Dog Month.
