Board Nominations

Board Nomination open February 15, 2022 and closes February 28, 2022

PACE Academy is looking for FIVE board members, all of which must be parents/guardians of PACE students! Two board members will serve the school from July 2023 through June 2024. Two board members will serve from July 2023 through June 2025.

The Board will be responsible for the on-going organization and control of the school and is empowered, within the boundaries of federal and state law, to determine the policies necessary for the effective operation and general improvement of the school. (The board sets policy; the admin team runs the day-to-day operations.)

All Board members must be residents of South Carolina and cannot have been convicted of a felony. At least 50% of the Board will be elected and no more than 50% of the Board will be appointed by the sitting Board.  At least 50% of the members of the Board shall be individuals who have a background in K-12 education or business. Of the nine members four seats are designated as Community members with the reaming five for parents.  All nominees must hold a college degree or a high school diploma or equivalent and at least eight years in a supervisory or managerial position.  Nominees will be reviewed by the Governance and Nomination Committee prior to submitting the names for election or to the Board for appointment.
